Brian Slobodow is an Operating Executive with Golden Gate Capital. Mr. Slobodow currently advises the firm and portfolio companies in a broad range of supply chain and procurement issues. He formerly served as COO of Atrium Windows, CEO of U.S. Silica, and COO of Neways International, all of which are current or former Golden Gate Capital portfolio companies. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Slobodow held multiple leadership positions within Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products and was a Principal with A.T. Kearney. Mr. Slobodow has an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
Dave Thomas is a Managing Director with Golden Gate Capital. Mr. Thomas focuses on investments in the Industrials practice, particularly in the basic materials sector. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital in 2006, Mr. Thomas worked as a Senior Associate Consultant in both the Chicago and London offices of Bain & Company. Mr. Thomas has a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated summa cum laude.
Rajeev Amara founded and oversees Golden Gate Capital’s Industrials investing practice, which comprises 12 companies and generates over $4 billion in revenue. The philosophy of the Industrials practice is to invest in competitively differentiated market leaders and aggressively grow their earnings by prioritizing innovation and capital allocation. Mr. Amara graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and serves on the board of the university’s Graduate School of Education, one of the top-ranked educational research schools in the world.
Robert Kirby is an Operating Partner with Golden Gate Capital. Mr. Kirby was previously CEO of Atrium Windows, a Golden Gate Capital portfolio company; Vi-Jon, a leading private label manufacturer in the personal care market; and Accellent, a leading contract manufacturer in the medical device market. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kirby was a General Manager who led R&D for global manufacturing and supply chains at large cap companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly Clark, and Fort James. Mr. Kirby has broad-based experience in consumer personal care, OTC, and medical devices. During his 30-year career, Mr. Kirby has led large-scale and complex integrations of acquisitions, implemented lean processes, and driven rapid, positive change.
Scott Fawcett has been a member of the Board of Directors since April 2017. Mr. Fawcett previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2008 until April 2017; as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2007 until January 2008; and as President from 2006 until 2007. Mr. Fawcett also served as Executive Vice President, a role that included all sales and marketing, distribution and procurement responsibilities, from 2004 until 2006, and as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 1995 until 2004. Prior to joining us, Mr. Fawcett was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of General Housewares Co., which is now part of the World Kitchen family of companies. Mr. Fawcett earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and an M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management, Chicago, Illinois.
